And so it was that we lobbed at a friend's house for a barbie this afternoon - lamb, rissoles, coleslaw, potato bake, pavlova.
Perfect!
Choice bro, eh?
But amongst the heat, humidity, bbq, few quiet chardies and kids playing in the pool was Shadow the cat.
Shadow wasn't in the least bit interested in our human revelry.
Cats rarely are.
Instead, Shadow lay on the grass in the shade, swishing her tail and looking regally bored.
Cats usually do.
For a moment, Shadow looked over at the kids splashing around.
Her look says it all, don't you think?
Lovely shot that explains exactly why I like dogs
ReplyDeleteIf looks could kill, Susan!
ReplyDeleteShadow has a superiority problem, nothing a yappy little annoying Maltese or Jack Russell wouldn't fix.
ReplyDeleteI love kittehs. I have two of them as my landlords. They let me stay in their house, and feed them and clean up their environment so their comfort is never, ever disturbed. And I appreciate their dismissive, often mocking version of "love" they bestow on me. (Written with a claw poised delicately over my carotid).
ReplyDeleteShadow would eat the Maltese and the Jack Russell.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo Kelly I just discovered that you are doing Project 366 I am too. Failed last year got to about March then stopped might have something to do with the fact that I live a very boring life but I am determined to complete this year, so good so far :)
