The dyed-in-the-wool Queenslanders amongst us will remember the "bridge to nowhere" that straddled the highway to the Sunshine Coast for years. I was reminded of this bridge when I took a tour of the new ABC building.
At the back is the door you see in the picture.
Outside is a one storey drop into what looks like a massive planter box.
The person who headed up our tour didn't know why the door was there or whether it would eventually lead somewhere.
Maybe there are grand plans for it.
Or perhaps it's a portal to an ABC building in a parallel universe.
But for now, it remains a mystery.

ReplyDeleteI know that overpass on the Bruce Highway! It is still there...is it doing something real now, like letting cars travel over it? Or is it just something that was badly planned and: WHO MADE THAT BOOBOO??
