Day 15 - Broadbeach Storm

Invigorating!

That's why I love watching a storm roll across a beach.

Waves are whipped up, the blue ocean slides to grey, mirroring the sky.

The sand feels cooler under your feet, the air seems crisper, fresher.

If you're really lucky, there'll be some lightning too.

There's something very primal and exciting about sitting on a beach as a storm goes through.

Unfortunately, I did the sensible Mummy thing at Broadbeach this afternoon and sought cover - wish I'd enjoyed getting wet instead.

Next time.

  1. Very evocative. I went to school on the Gold Coast and we held an annual jogathon along the beach. Once or twice it did rain and we wondered whether we should be running, swimming and getting dunked in the surf. ...Actually, no we didn't, we were teenagers, we loved it! Great shot.
