Day OMG It Has Been A While

April was a very busy month and one of the promises I made to myself this year was that I was not going to be a stress bunny (well, I was going to try to be less of a stress bunny than usual).

So, when the demands of the everyday started to pound at my door, I let my wonderful 366 project fall by the wayside.

I have taken lots of photos, but taking the time to blog just wasn't viable for a few weeks.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or flicked me a tweet/email saying they missed the blogging!

Hopefully that will be the only big gap in this year's effort...but if it's not that's okay, for me it was about the fun, it's not homework.

On that note, I'll be posting a selection of photos from the past few weeks for you to enjoy, starting with this one from Carindale today.

As you may know they are renovating the shopping centre  and the "show space" in the centre ground floor looks like it might be the next Hunger Games setting.

Happy Birthday Buddha

Brisbane hosts the world's biggest celebration of Buddha's birthday.

Overt the past few days I've watched the setup for the festival unfold outside my work window.

The parklands are beautiful anyway, but the glowing red lanterns snaking through the arbour and the red lights on the wheel look spectacular.

A Stitch In Time

This is not MY arm.

It's the arm of someone very near and dear to me.

Where those stitches are now there was a dirty, big brown mark.

I nagged at this person to have it checked out for months and months - and after much faffing about they finally did.

Since this picture was taken, a diagnosis of malignant melanoma stage two has come through.

That wound is now much deeper and longer because the doctor had to make sure they had it all.

There are also some other tests that have to be done as well but hopefully, that will be the end of it.

Day 98 - I'll Love Ya....Tomorrow!

It's an embarrassment of musical theatre riches this year in Brisbane.

The latest big hit to hit the stage at QPAC is "Annie".

Although I had seen the movie a few times with Mackenzie, I had never seen the stage production so I went along expecting great things.

Day 97 - New Drive

When we had our shift "Shift Around" at the end of last year, I was over the moon to get Afternoons.

After six years on Drive, which is a pretty full-on gig at the best of times, I was ready for a change of pace.

In fact, I had asked for it.
