It was way back in 1997 when the lovely John Knox gave me a casual weekend new shift at 4KQ. I was lucky enough to get a few fill in shifts when the usual reporters went on holidays and it was there that I met the gorgeous Laurel Edwards, coffee in hand and pink slippers on feet (her not me).
Since I've been a presenter at the ABC, I haven't seen much of Laurel, but I have had the pleasure of chatting with her talented hubby Troy Cassar-Daly a handful of times.
He has played live everytime he's been in and it is always perfect.
That's a big call in studios that aren't particularly friendly to musos.
Troy was in for a chat today about his new CD "Home", so I decided to grab a photo.
