Day 42 - Yabba Dabba Doo!

I love ten pin bowling because you can go once every six months and still be relatively successful.

By successful, I mean one strike and a couple of spares per game!

Kids love the bright colors and neon paint that is the modern decor of choice, and the music is always pumped up to eleven.

But the one thing that hasn't changed in fifty years - the rental bowling shoe.

Cream and maroon, slippery inside due to years of random feet and talcum powder, they feel awkwardly comfortable - like wearing a relative's undies and finding they fit nicely.

Bowling lanes are also a big favourite amongst the 5-12yrs birthday crowd., which is where we were today.

  1. Beats the plain old black balls any day. Do what you like with that.

  2. I could have told the "blue balls" family legend, but chose to be discreet.

  3. And playing with kids often means bumpers up which improves my bowling no end. Love the colours. Great shot

  4. A cracker of a shot, yes quite a few "blue balls" amongst that lot too....
